> INTERDEPENDENCE DAY III - Paris, 2005
On September 10-12, 2005, in Paris the Third Interdependence Day brought together hundreds of students, politicians, artists and intellectuals from two dozen countries in three major events: an international NGO conference chaired by Bernard Kouchner and Lord Frank Judd at the American University of Paris; an artists’ roundtable and concert chaired by former Minister of Culture Jack Lang at the Opera Bastille, keynoted by Congressman Dennis Kucinich; and a signing ceremony at the Hotel De Ville featuring Harry Belafonte, Mayor Bertrand Delanoe, Minister Dominique Strauss Khan, Slovenian President Milan Kucan, former French Prime Minister Michel Rocard and many others.
Interdependence ceremonies were held in several other venues and nations, notably a major celebration at Penn State University in the USA.
