> INTERDEPENDENCE DAY IV - North Africa, 2006
On September 10-12, 2006, the Fourth Interdependence Day was held in North Africa. With the founder of the Fez Sacred Music Festival Faouzi Skali and Governor Kabbaj of Casablanca acting as hosts, our global forum took place both in the ancient Moroccan city of Fez and the great Mediterranean metropolis of Casablanca.
The forum focused on issues of Religion and Interdependence and the rival ways in with religion could divide and bring together peoples. Among the participants were the American philosopher and social commentator Cornel West, television personality Tavis Smiley, Solidarity founder, Adam Michnik, Former French Prime Minister, Michel Rocard, UN Under Secretary General, Olara Otunnu, and Lord Bhikhu Parekh.
